ABOUT THE AUTHOR

From a FIFO Dad, For Your Family

Hi, I'm Jake. Like many of you, I'm a FIFO worker.

When my son started asking, "Daddy, where do you go for work?", I struggled to find a way to explain the complex world of mining to him. I couldn't find a children's book that truly captured life on site, so I decided to write one myself.

The Nipper Store books were born from that real family need: to close the distance between the worksite and home. My hope is that these stories help you connect with your own family, giving your kids a fun and engaging way to feel proud of the important work that supports them.
